Heather Dunston, Vice President

Heather Dunston, Vice President and Director of Client Services, brings a wealth of expertise to IIC. 

From a young age, Heather was immersed in her family-owned insurance agency, developing a love for the industry and a focus in high-net worth personal lines placements.  Over the last 25 years, Heather has worked for some of the largest insurance agencies in the country, developing programs for complicated risk profiles, multi-state exposures and coastal/catastrophically exposed assets.  Differentiating her skills even further, Heather maintains the coveted CPRIA (Chartered Private Risk Insurance Advisor) Designation; in addition to the Series 6/63, Life and Health License and Property and Casualty Insurance License. 

Heather’s service philosophy is well aligned with that of IIC Carolinas.  She believes in relationship-based service commitments that include close and proactive client-interaction, consultative education, 24 hour availability, immediate response time and building long-term relationships.

Heather engages in community and social services whenever possible.  She is currently an active board member and fundraiser for ‘Bowling for Autism.’

Heather resides happily in Wake County with her husband, daughter, dog, cat, rabbit and gecko!
